Outbound sends return a 429 error once you reach your monthly email quota. Inbound email continues to be received. Quotas reset on the first of each month.
Every tenant subdomain gets its own DKIM keys, SPF records, and DMARC policy. Major email providers track subdomain reputation independently — your agent's sending behavior directly determines your deliverability. MultiMail's platform-wide content filtering and abuse prevention keep the parent domain reputation clean, which gives new subdomains a modest head start, but each subdomain builds its own reputation over time through good sending practices.
Bounce rates above 2% trigger a warning notification; above 5% suspend sending (measured after at least 10 emails). Hard-bounced addresses are permanently blocked — you cannot unsuppress them. Soft bounces allow retry. Spam complaints above 0.3% also suspend sending. Gmail enforces a 0.3% spam complaint threshold across all senders — MultiMail's content filtering and oversight modes help keep you well below this. Suspended accounts can be reactivated after review.
MultiMail uses flexible, plan-based rate limits designed to scale with your usage. New subdomains need 2–4 weeks to build reputation with email providers. Start with small volumes to engaged recipients, then scale gradually. Your plan quota is the ceiling, but warming up slowly improves deliverability.
Custom domain support is coming soon for Pro and Scale plans. You'll be able to send from your own domain (e.g., agent@acme.com) with full DKIM, SPF, and DMARC configuration. Until then, every tenant gets a dedicated subdomain (yourname.multimail.dev) with full email authentication.
